a recent acupuncture treatment and bout of social media detoxing has me feeling some type of way.
as we transition into springtime, eager for warmer weather and sunlight, the word "change" remains at top of mind.
daily life contains innumerable transitions and changes: we switch gears often and on autopilot. constantly shifting gears requires so much of our precious energy. it's best to slowly transition through life; and, not talking about "big life changes," but all the small moments that make up a day. a quick and heedless pivot can cause injury–literally and metaphorically (one of the most valuable lessons I have come to learn through my yoga practice.)
nature and the changing seasons is also a teacher.
why not instead linger in the present moment every little chance we get? I know, easier said than done. and an ancient wisdom you've likely heard a million times. but a gentle reminder to really put it into practice nonetheless:
before doing, be
linger in the present, take it in with a brief pause
only then, carefully move along, with complete awareness
every few steps, repeat. every few beats. move a bit, then stop. notice.
inconspicuous from the outside, but fascinating on the inside
